Rope Skipping Singapore (RSS) is the association for the sport of rope skipping established in 2004 to provide an outlet for athletes to grow through rope skipping programs available for all age. Our athletes competed at the Asian Championship in Bangkok in February 2004 and the World Championship in Australia in July 2004, On 5-6 Feb 2005 at the Asian Rope Skipping Championship in Kuala Lumpur, our ahtletes won 20 gold medals. This successful campaign of 17 rope skippers winning 20 gold medals brought rope skipping much recognition in Singapore.


Sycronise & Group routines 2005 champions at the IOC Olympic Sessions Exhibition 2005 at Raffles City.
The Singapore Sports Council invited our skippers to perform at the International Olympic Committee Sessions Exihibition in 2005 at Raffles City and again for National Day Parade 2006. We trained 40 Team Singapore Rope Skippers to perform five shows at the National Day Parade Fringe  Celebrations. Team Singapore Rope Skippers where also featured at the Sheares Bridge Run 2006 and Asian Children Festival 2007.

In 2007 RSS rope skippers competed at the International Double Dutch Championships in France and the All Japan Rope Skipping Championships. In 2008 RSS rope skippers competed at the Double Dutch Contest Japan, the Junior Olympic Games and the Skipping Australia Championships.

In June 2010 our coach and the Jumping Jewels team conducted the Asian Rope Skipping Workshop in Amritsar, India.  This is the first workshop of its kind in Asia. Twenty RSS skippers where part of the World Record 24 Hours Double Dutch event in July 2010. This year the Jumping Jewels are contestants on the TV show One Moment of Glory.

With our body of work, RSS has brought rope skipping to more Singaporeans than ever before.

RSS coaching qualifications:
  1. We have the only Singapore Sport Council certified rope skipping coaches in Singapore
  2. We have the only world governing body certified rope skipping judges in Singapore   
  3. Our principal coach has been coaching rope skipping since 1995
  4. From 2004 to 2009 all skippers competiting overseas are coached at RSS
  5. Most current top ranked rope skippers are coached by RSS

1997___Introduced a rope skipping aerobics workout called Jump Aerobics
Feb 2001___The first rope skipping practice time available to the public
Nov 2003___Rope skipping training for the 2004 Asian Championship, the first overseas competition.
2-10 July 2005___First professional performances at Olympic Exhibition at Raffles City, in conjunction with the IOC Sessions
24 Aug 2005___The Dream Team rope skippers perform at Toa Payoh Sports Hall.
16 Oct 2005___Second professional rope skipping performance by 7 skippers at NTUC Downtown East.
15 July 2006___Organised the AW Master 2006, Inter-School Rope Skipping Championship
9 Aug 2006___Coached 40 Team Singapore Rope Skippers performing at National Day Parade 2006
Nov 2006___Coached PLMGS(P) rope skipping team show at launch of NLB's Asian Children Festtival at the Woodlands Library
24 Feb 2007___Organised the National Double Dutch Open 2007 at Tampines East CC
24 Feb 2007___Organised the AW Rope Skipping Convention 2007 at AerobicsWorld
1 July 2007___Organised the AW Masters 2007 at Tampines East CC
17 Nov 2007___Team Singapore Rope Skippers performed at NLB's Asian Children Festtival at the National Library
2008___Gold medal at Junior Olympic Games for double dutch speed relay with a record breaking score.
2008___Start coaching a team of 8 year olds for the Australian Nationals. They are the youngest athletes to represent Singapore in a sport and the youngest to win a gold medal.
2009___The Jumping Jewels, a teenage skipping team, are featured multiple times on TV including the prestigeous President Star Charity Live Show
2009___All sport skipping records are by teenager and older skippers for the first time since records have been kept in 2006.
2010___Jumping Jewels are performing 7 times at Youth Olympics Games at the Boxing, Fencing and Gymnastics events.
